As reported by both Sky and BBC reporter Sami Mokbel, Bayern Munich have already formally expressed their interest in Anthony Gordon.

According to both sources, initial contact has been made with the player's representatives – apparently bearing positive results.

The BBC indicate that Gordon is generally open to a move to the Bavarians, sending a clear signal that reinforces Bayern's strategy.

Boasting pace, dynamism, and goal threat, the Newcastle United stR is precisely the profile Bayern are looking for on the left wing.

Largely to provide occasional relief for regular starter Luis Díaz and simultaneously create more versatility in their attacking play.

Furthermore, Gordon is among the players Newcastle are reportedly open to selling in the summer due to financial considerations.

Although this may sound promising, Gordon is under contract until 2030 and has no release clause so the Magpies' demands are high.

The BBC reckons that the Premier League club's asking price is around £70million, or around the region of €80 million.

Ultimately, this fee is reportedly above Bayern's limit, which is said to be closer to €60million – equivalent to Gordon's current market value.
