Niklas Stark has no plans of leaving Hertha BSC despite falling down the pecking order this season, according to a report from Sport Bild.

Hertha coach Bruno Labbadia has opted for a centre-back pairing of Dedryck Boyata and Jordan Torunarigha since the return of the Bundesliga, and Stark currently has to settle for a place on the bench.

Nevertheless, the 25-year-old has no intentions of giving up and is prepared to stay beyond the summer to fight for his place at the German capital club, as per the report.

Stark, who has been linked with the likes of Borussia Dortmund, RB Leipzig and Ajax in the past, has a €20 million release clause, which expires on June 30.

His contract runs until 2022.
