Report: Milot Rashica turns down Liverpool and AC Milan as he eyes RB Leipzig move

Having set sights on a move to RB Leipzig, Milot Rashica has reportedly turned down the likes of Liverpool and AC Milan.
Werder Bremen star Milot Rashica has turned down interest from clubs from England and Italy, including Liverpool and AC Milan, as he only wants to come to RB Leipzig, according to a report from Sport Bild.

The report claims that the 24-year-old has made up his mind following intensive discussions with RB Leipzig coach Julian Nagelsmann. Both RB Leipzig and Werder Bremen have reportedly been informed of his intent, so it's now up to the two clubs to agree on a transfer fee.

According to Sport Bild, Werder Bremen want 'well over' €20 million for Rashica, but RB Leipzig can't afford to put that much on the table for the 24-year-old. One possibility is a deal that would see RB Leipzig pay around €15 million upfront plus an additional fee in bonuses.

At the same time, RB Leipzig are working to keep Patrik Schick, who has spent the 2019/20 season at Red Bull Arena on loan from AS Roma. If RB Leipzig buy Rashica, they probably can't afford to sign Schick permanently at the same time, but they might be able to agree a new loan deal with a purchase option or an obligation to buy.

Amid all this, RB Leipzig are certainly keeping an eye on the English Championship table. Leeds United, who currently sit top of the table, are obliged to pay €21 million to sign RB Leipzig loanee Jean-Kevin Augustin if they clinch promotion to the top flight – and that money could be used to seal deals for Rashica and Schick.
