On Monday, reports surfaced that PSV had made an offer for Borussia Mönchengladbach centre-back Ko Itakura.

However, speaking to Rheinische Post, Gladbach’s managing director for sport, Roland Virkus, has insisted that no formal bid has been received for the Japanese centre-back.

“There is no offer for Ko,” Virkus emphasized.

Itakura has just one year remaining on his contract with Gladbach, who could look to sell the defender if he decides against signing a new deal.

Itakura has played for Die Fohlen since 2022.
