After much speculation in recent weeks, Alexander Nübel has completed his transfer from FC Bayern Munich to join Beşiktaş.
Sky Germany understands that the deal is comprised of a €6.5million fixed fee with €5million in add-ons and a contract until 2029.
The 29-year-old goalkeeper had moved to Munich on a free transfer from Schalke in 2020, most recently playing on loan at VfB Stuttgart.
Stuttgart, who enjoyed the goalkeeper's presence for three years, were eager to keep Nübel but couldn't afford his big wage packet.
Back at his parent club, the shot-stopper was seen as surplus to requirements with Manuel Neuer, Jonas Urbig and Sven Ulreich present.
“Alexander Nübel is a very good goalkeeper who has consistently developed and established himself at FC Bayern, Monaco and Stuttgart.
"He now wants to take the next step at Besiktas. We wish him all the best for his future," said Max Eberl, FC Bayern board member for sport.
Nübel won the Bundesliga, Club World Cup, Super Cup and domestic Supercup during his first season at Bayern, in which he made four appearances.
