Sport Bild Report: Lautern reject Union's Prtajin-for-Ache trade offer

Germany's main sporting tabloid reports that 1. FC Kaiserslautern have rejected a proposed swap deal that would have seen new 1. FC Union Berlin signing Ivan Prajtin loaned out to the second division whilst FCK forward Ragnar Ache moved back up to the top flight has collapsed.

"Sport Bild" goes on to note that Union are very eager to move Prtajin off their roster ahead of the coming season, but have been unable to arrange loan outs to second division sides Hannover 96 and Eintracht Braunschweig.

Union Berlin's pursuit of former Eintracht Frankfurt striker Ragnar Ache has reportedly hit a dead-end. Germany's "Sport Bild" tabloid reports that 1. FC Kaiserslautern have rejected a proposed swap deal that would have seen Ache move to Köpenick whilst new FCU signing Ivan Prtajin was loaned out to the Pfalz. Union remain in the market for an additional striker ahead of the new season whilst the capital city side, per the tabloid, very much wish to move Prtajin.

The former Croatian youth international was signed from SV Wehen Wiesbaden this summer under the FCU administrative regime of Oliver Ruhnert. Sport Bild goes on to note that the new managerial team led by long-time German footballing executive Horst Heldt has come to the conclusion that Prtajin isn't ready for the German top flight. This despite the fact that Pertain did score 16 goals across all competitions for Wiesbaden last year.

Loan deals that might have sent Prtajin to Eintracht Braunschweig and Hannover 96 have both fallen through. Bo Svensson's coaching team have no use for their new signing behind strikers Jordan, Yorbe Vertessen, Benedict Hollerbach, Kevin Volland, and whichever additional striker Heldt and the front office can secure before the transfer deadline. It thus seems likely that there will be many rumors about Prtajin popping before the transfer window closes.
