Reports have recently claimed that Manchester City have contacted Omar Marmoush's management to explore the possibility of signing the Eintracht Frankfurt striker this month.

However, Eintracht coach Dino Toppmöller insisted at a press conference on Thursday that there's been no contact between the two clubs and that he intends to start Marmoush against St. Pauli on Saturday.

"Omar Marmoush is a very important player for us," Toppmöller said, adding:

"There's no contact between the clubs and as long as that's not the case, we don't need to talk about it too much.

“He has made a good impression in training and will start on Saturday.”

According to Sky Germany, Eintracht Frankfurt have set a price tag of €80 million for Marmoush, while Manchester City are hoping a deal in the region of €50-60 million can be reached.
