Luka Vuskovic has established himself as a key player for Hamburger SV since joining on loan from Tottenham – and the 19-year-old is clearly thriving in Germany.

When asked by Bild if moving to HSV on loan was the best decision of his life, he replied:

“Yes. I knew it from the day I signed my contract.”

As things stand, Vuskovic will return to Tottenham at the end of the season, but several top European clubs are said to have taken notice of the young defender.

HSV, meanwhile, hope to extend his loan for another year, which could give him the chance to play alongside his older brother Mario, who is out until November due to a doping ban.

The 19-year-old makes no secret of the fact that sharing the pitch with his brother would be a special moment.

“Playing together is such a big dream, and right now it still feels too unrealistic; I can’t really imagine it yet,” he said.

“But who knows what a few months or years might bring.”
