It seems like the transfer saga surrounding Nick Woltemade will be going on for the whole summer - and maybe even for the whole of the 2025/26 season.

His future is very much undecided, since his club VfB Stuttgart and Bayern Munich have not reached any kind of agreement about a possible transfer.

DFB director Rudi Völler, who spoke with Woltemade in the most recent international games, has now also commented on the striker's future:

“It's a difficult situation. There will certainly be a price limit, for Stuttgart - and of course also for Bayern Munich. There are always discussions about how much a player is worth. But it's simple: He's always worth as much as the buying club is willing to pay.”

“I understand Nick [Woltemade], Bayern Munich are an absolute top club. We, as the German national team, can live with both solutions. If he stays in Stuttgart, he will deliver top performances there. The same applies if he were to move to Bayern. He has a great future ahead of him.”

Let's see if said future will involve a transfer to the Rekordmeister this season…
