With Matchday 32 behind us, Bulinews Editor-in-Chief Rune Gjerulff has selected his Team of the Week, set up in a 4-1-3-2 formation.

Goalkeeper:

Alexander Nübel, Stuttgart

It’s not often you make the Team of the Week when you concede three goals, but that’s exactly what Alexander Nübel has done this week. Stuttgart managed to secure a point against Hoffenheim, coming back to draw 3–3 despite being down to 10 men, and Nübel played a key role in that comeback, making a total of six saves to keep the Swabians in the game.

Defenders:

Franck Honorat, Gladbach

Impressed playing a little further back as a right-back against Dortmund, with two duels won and three key passes, accumulating 0.76 expected assists (xA).

Philipp Lienhart, Freiburg

Made a big impact after coming on, winning all three of his duels, scoring his side’s equaliser and completing 95 percent of his passes.

Marnon Busch, Heidenheim

Operating in a three-man backline, Busch contributed well in build-up play, completing 93 percent of his passes and registering two assists.

Alex Grimaldo, Leverkusen

An excellent performance from Leverkusen’s left-back talisman, who provided six key passes, set up a goal and completed 91 percent of his passes.

Midfielders:

Leon Goretzka, FC Bayern

Playing in a more advanced role, Goretzka stepped up to score a brace, with one of his goals coming from an impressive direct free-kick.

Anton Kade, Augsburg

Delivered two well-taken goals as Augsburg secured a 3–1 win over Werder Bremen.

Andrej Kramaric, Hoffenheim

Celebrated his contract extension with an excellent performance and a brace in Hoffenheim’s 3-3 draw with Stuttgart.

Nathan Tella, Leverkusen

A constant threat in Leverkusen’s 4–1 statement win over RB Leipzig, Tella both scored and provided an assist.

Strikers:

Patrik Schick, Leverkusen

The Czech forward continued his excellent Bundesliga form with a hat-trick against Leipzig, meaning he has now scored six goals in his last three league games.

Budu Zivzivadze, Heidenheim

Bagged a brace against Bayern Munich, with his second goal a real beauty.
