Speaking ahead of Bayern Munich’s Champions League semi-final second leg against Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday, Uli Hoeneß has revealed which player from the French champions he would sign if given the opportunity.

Asked the question by DAZN, Bayern’s honorary president named Achraf Hakimi, saying he believes the 27-year-old would be a strong fit at right-back.

“I would take him immediately, because he would fit in very well with us,” Hoeneß said.

Hakimi is no stranger to German football, as he played for Borussia Dortmund on loan from Real Madrid between 2018 and 2020.

The 27-year-old Moroccan international will not be available for PSG in Wednesday’s return leg after picking up an injury in the first leg in Paris last week.
