“I would like to laugh, but…” - Hoffenheim star Kramarić reacts to dramatic 3-3 draw

It should have been a day of celebration for TSG Hoffenheim and their record scorer Andrej Kramarić - but a last-minute equalizer against VfB Stuttgart overshadowed everything.

The headlines before kick-off were all about continuity and commitment: Andrej Kramarić, Hoffenheim’s all-time leading scorer, had extended his contract with the club he has called home for nearly a decade.

But what should have been a feel-good story quickly turned into an emotional rollercoaster. Despite scoring and playing a key role in Hoffenheim’s attacking display, Kramarić was left deeply frustrated after Stuttgart’s dramatic late equalizer secured a 3-3 draw.

Speaking after the match, the Croatian forward reflected on both his contract extension and the dramatic events on the pitch:

“I think everything is good now after my contract extension. I’ve already been here for 10 years, and now hopefully another two years. Unfortunately, I’m still not happy because of how the game went today. I would like to laugh, but I’m very serious right now because the ending is still a shock for me.”

For Kramarić, who has been central to Hoffenheim’s rise in recent years, the result felt particularly painful. His performance once again underlined his importance to the team—but it also highlighted how fine the margins are at this stage of the season.
