VfL Wolfsburg will have to manage without Moritz Jenz in the coming weeks.

The Bundesliga outfit confirmed on Tuesday that the 26-year-old centre-back suffered "a rather serious muscle injury” in his left thigh in Friday's 2-1 defeat to Werder Bremen.

Jenz has featured in nine competitive games in total for Wolfsburg this season.

On the bright side for Die Wölfe, Denis Vavro has returned to full training after a long-term injury and could make his comeback in defence following the international break.

Die Wölfe continue their campaign against Bayer Leverkusen on November 22.
