Reports: BVB target two Brazilian EPL right backs

Separate sources are currently reporting that Borussia Dortmund have two Brazilian right-backs representing Premiership sides on their radar.

The departure of Marius Wolf on an expiring contract this offseason leaves Borussia Dortmund with only one right-back, Julian Ryerson, on their roster. The Westphalians are generally thought to be on the market for fullbacks on both flanks, but may be shifting focus away from the left side if Ramy Bensebaini and Tom Rothe can prove themselves in training camp. It is thus sensible to assume that the search for more help on the right might take precedence for now.

Separate sources currently report that the BVB managerial team - just as it did in the most recent January transfer window - will be looking toward the Isle to obtain Premiership players on loan. Two Brazilian right-backs representing EPL sides count as legitimate candidates. Man City's Yan Couto and Tottenham's Emerson Royal could spent the season in Germany on loan.

The Royal rumors stem from English footballing journalist Alasdair Gold, who wrote that Dortmund are eyeing up the 25-year-old in a post on social media platform X Saturday afternoon. AC Milan are rumored to wish to purchase the 10-times-capped international outright, but Spurs aren't keen on a permanent departure. A loan might therefore be a reasonable solution.

Sky Germany is the source of the Couto links. The 22-year-old has already been loaned out thrice by his EPL parent side, accruing experience for Girona in La Liga and Braga in Portugal. Sky reports that talks between Dortmund and the player have already taken place. Couto - who has still not made an appearance for his EPL parent club - will have to extend with Man City in order to render a new loan possible.
