With Matchday 20 behind us, Bulinews Editor-in-Chief Rune Gjerulff has selected his Team of the Week, which lines up in a 4-2-2-2 formation:
Goalkeeper:
Daniel Heuer Fernandes, Hamburger SV
Produced some key stops as Hamburger SV held FC Bayern to a 2-2 draw.
Defenders:
Arthur, Bayer Leverkusen
The Brazilian wing-back impressed both offensively and defensively, opening the scoring and winning eight duels.
Luka Vuskovic, Hamburger SV
Scored his fourth Bundesliga goal of the season and was solid defensively, winning five duels.
Waldemar Anton, Borussia Dortmund
A rock at the back, winning nine of 11 duels and completing an impressive 88% of his passes, while also scoring a goal.
Alex Grimaldo, Bayer Leverkusen
Made a decisive impact with two key passes, including an assist, and contributed defensively with four duels won.
Midfielders:
Aleix Garcia, Bayer Leverkusen
Controlled possession in midfield, completing 95% of 136 passes, while also finding the net.
Julian Niehues, Heidenheim
Sensationally scored twice against Dortmund, but his efforts weren’t enough as Heidenheim fell to a 2-3 defeat.
Alexis Claude-Maurice, Augsburg
Provided creativity in attacking midfield, setting up both of Augsburg’s goals.
Andrej Kramaric, Hoffenheim
Scored a well-taken brace to lead Hoffenheim to a 3-1 win over Union Berlin, demonstrating clinical finishing and composure.
Strikers:
Serhou Guirassy, Borussia Dortmund
Scored twice in quick succession. Missed the chance to score a hat-trick from the penalty spot, but still deserves a spot in the Team of the Week for helping Dortmund turn the tie against Heidenheim around.
Michael Gregoritsch, Augsburg
Clinical in front of goal, Gregoritsch netted twice to secure Augsburg’s victory over St. Pauli.
