Former Schalke 04 coach David Wagner is reportedly set to return to Germany.

According to Sport Bild and Sky Germany, the 53-year-old is expected to take over as RB Leipzig’s head of youth development.

He will replace Manuel Baum, who, according to reports, is leaving the position to return to Augsburg in a “strategic role” within their youth development system.

Wagner has been out of work since leaving his role as Norwich City coach at the end of the 2024/25 season.

He is known to be a close friend of Red Bull’s Global Head of Soccer, former Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp.
