Following England's World Cup elimination at the hands of Argentina last night, Harry Kane was asked about his international future.

When asked if he will be present for the Three Lions at the 2030 edition of the tournament, the Bayern Munich star was unsure.

"It's too early to say. I'm taking it year by year, how I feel. I love playing for England. But of course, four years is a long time.

"Still, you can see how Messi still performs even at an older age. I don't know," Kane explained after the game.

The 32-year-old will be four years older come then, whether the striker can replicate his best at that age is another matter entirely.

Lost for words and mourning the result, Kane concluded: “I'll need to process this defeat first. We gave it our all, but it wasn't enough”.
