Since the turn of the year, Eintracht Frankfurt’s Nnamdi Collins has repeatedly been linked with a move to the English Premier League, with Arsenal, Manchester City, and Liverpool among his reported suitors.

However, a summer move now appears highly unlikely for the 22-year-old defender.

According to local outlet Frankfurter Rundschau, Collins will “definitely” stay beyond the summer, with club chief Markus Krösche unwilling to let him go.

With Eintracht already having lost key full-backs Nathaniel Brown and Rasmus Kristensen to Bayern Munich and FC Midtjylland respectively, the club’s clear plan is to keep Collins.

The 22-year-old, who is capable of playing in central defence and at right-back, now has the opportunity to establish himself as a regular starter under new Eintracht Frankfurt coach Adi Hütter.
