Borussia Dortmund must overcome financial hurdles to retain Carney Chukwuemeka for the 2025-26 campaign.

As WAZ reports, the midfielder earns more than the previously estimated €6million euros per annum.

While the high salary being one reason why Chelsea wants to offload the 21-year-old, there is also another problem for Dortmund.

The report suggests that Die Schwarzgelben expect to be outbid by another Premier League club interested in the Englishman.

BVB are considering another loan, possibly with an option to buy, but Chukwuemeka is under a long-term contract in London until 2028.
