Bayern Munich secured an impressive 6–1 win over Atalanta in the first leg of their round of 16 tie, but a series of injuries during the match in Italy tempered the celebrations.

One of the injured players was goalkeeper Jonas Urbig – a particular concern for Bayern, as he was filling in for the also sidelined Manuel Neuer.

According to Bild, Urbig is expected to be out for 8-10 days due to the head injury he sustained.

This means he'll miss Saturday’s Bundesliga clash with Bayer Leverkusen and most likely next week’s Champions League return leg against Atalanta in Munich. Veteran Sven Ulreich is expected to start in goal for both matches.

Meanwhile, Manuel Neuer is expected to remain sidelined for even longer with a muscle fiber tear.
