The German national team has a new assistant coach in Alfred Schreuder, as the DFB officially announced on Tuesday, 10 March.
Schreuder will succeed Sandro Wagner and support head coach Julian Nagelsmann as his assistant going forward.
This is not the first time they have collaborated – Schreuder worked with Nagelsmann from 2016 to 2018 while at TSG Hoffenheim.
"I value Alfred highly as a coach and as a person. His experience is a tremendous asset to our team with the upcoming World Cup in mind.
"We chose him as an additional expert so that Mads Buttgereit can fully concentrate on set pieces in training," Nagelsmann explained.
The German Football Association (DFB) added that the Dutchman will be available for the upcoming March friendlies against Switzerland and Ghana.
