Eintracht Frankfurt have officially announced that Ellyes Skhiri is leaving the club in favour of a return to 1.FC Köln.

Skhiri, who moved from Köln to the Hessen club in the summer of 2023, is now returning to the Rhineland outfit three years later.

Whilst at Eintracht, the midfielder played 82 Bundesliga matches, 6 DFB-Pokal games, and 29 games in European club competitions.

His involvement started to wain as competition in midfield grew with the likes of Hugo Larsson, Farès Chaïbi and Raphael Oneydika's arrival.

In June, the 31-year-old was also in action with the Tunisian national team at the World Cup in Canada, Mexico and the USA.
