Nico Schlotterbeck has emerged as a doubt for Germany's UEFA Nations League clash with Serbia on Thursday.
As reported by Sky Germany, the Borussia Dortmund centre-back was forced to cut short Wednesday's training session ahead of Thursday's match in Munich.
The 26-year-old suddenly went down during a warm-up game before being examined by the medical team.
According to SID, the Borussia Dortmund defender suffered an ankle injury.
Further updates on Schlotterbeck's availability are expected later on Wednesday once he has undergone an MRI scan.
The 26-year-old had been mentioned as a possible captain for Thursday's game, with Joshua Kimmich not part of the squad for the upcoming matches against Serbia and Greece.
