HSV goalkeeper to replace Lennart Grill at Union Berlin

According to Sky Germany, HSV goalkeeper Matheo Raab is on the verge of a move to Union Berlin.

This Wednesday has brought a little goalkeeper merry-go-round to Germany's capital: after Union Berlin let their backup goalkeeper Lennart Grill move to Dynamo Dresden, they are now reportedly on the brink of replacing him immediately.

HSV's backup goalkeeper Matheo Raab is on the verge of joining the Eisernen, according to Sky Germany.

The 26-year-old, who wasn't able to cement himself as HSV's number 1 last season; Raab was originally supposed to start the final season in this role, but pneumonia put him out of action during preparation and in the first few games, which is why Daniel Heuer Fernandes took the place between the posts again and never gave it up.

Raab is supposed to have his medical on Thursday before officially joining Union Berlin.

This move is almost certainly a done deal, which brought Hamburg back to the table for Bayern Munich's Daniel Peretz: HSV are very interested in bringing him in in order to give Daniel Heuer Fernandes some new competition in goal.
