Ipswich Town have made a third offer for Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Exequiel Palacios, according to Argentine journalist Renzo Pantich.
According to Pantich, Ipswich have increased their offer to €30 million, including bonuses.
The latest bid could prove decisive, with Pantich claiming that the Argentina international is now “very close” to joining the Premier League club.
However, German media have previously reported that Leverkusen were demanding €35-40 million for Palacios.
Ipswich's second offer, which was promptly rejected by Die Werkself, was reportedly just over €20 million.
Palacios himself is said to be keen on making the move to the Premier League.
