In their warm weather training camp – which was met by rain – in Marbella, Gregor Kobel answered questions in the mixed room.

Borussia Dortmund currently sit second in the Bundesliga table, but their Swiss goalkeeper knows there's lots to work on and tweak.

“We’ve shown that we’re a very good team. Unfortunately, we didn’t win a few games, even though we were certainly in a position to win them.

"Nevertheless, we’ve already achieved a very good points tally [in the Bundesliga], especially compared to recent years.

"We’re in a very good starting position, and the fact that we’ve already collected this number of points should give us confidence.

"We need to continue doing what has made us a strong side and we want to improve further in certain areas of our game.

“The important thing, in my opinion, is that we give everything to get the maximum out of it, that we improve as a team. And then we’ll see what that’s enough for,” he said.

Dortmund will leave the Costa del Sol behind in a few days and return to Westphalia before making the trip to face Eintracht Frankfurt next Friday evening.
