After months of ongoing discussions, Konrad Laimer has seemingly extended his contract with FC Bayern Munich.

Today, Monday 20 July, Bayern's professionals began their pre-season training with performance tests at Säbener Straße.

The bulk of the players who featured at the World Cup were not yet present, but prominent Tom Bischof, Serge Gnabry and Laimer were.

Several media outlets, who were already on site around training, caught the Austrian leaving the record champions' offices at midday.

When approached by those figures in the media, the Austrian explained that he had just extended his contract with the Bavarians.

Now, all this is missing is the official press release, which if true, should follow in the coming days to confirm the announcement.
