Borussia Dortmund’s left-back Daniel Svensson is being linked with a move to the Premier League by CaughtOffside. According to the report, both Liverpool and Arsenal, the winners of the last two Premier League seasons, see the Swedish defender as a potential target.

Liverpool are said to be leading the race as they look to strengthen their defense after the free transfer of Andy Robertson to Tottenham Hotspur. The reigning champions are stacked in the position, including ex-Bayer Leverkusen defender Piero Hincapie, but they dealt with several injuries in the defensive department during the 2025/26 season.

Since Svensson has a contract at Dortmund until 2029, Niko Kovac's side are in a favorable position in transfer negotiations. According to Bild, the Bundesliga outfit could ask for a transfer fee closer to €30 million.

The Yellow and Blacks signed the 24-year-old from FC Nordsjaelland for only €6.5 million 18 months ago. He has played 45 Bundesliga games, including 35 from the start. Svensson started for Sweden when they were knocked out of the World Cup in the Round of 32 against France. Dortmund have already completed the signing of Kauã Prates in his position, but the 17-year-old is absent from the start of pre-season due to injury.
