Ahead of this evening's Conference League quarter-final clash with RC Strasbourg, Mainz confirmed two players were unavailable for selection.

The Bundesliga club revealed via X/Twitter that Jae-Sung Lee has suffered an injury to his left big toe and will therefore be unavailable.

Furthermore, the 33-year-old South Korean also missed team training on Wednesday, therefore his chance of involvement tonight was limited.

Meanwhile, same applies to Maxim Leitsch who was unavailable tonight and suffered a muscle injury in his left thigh.

Mainz stated that when both players' can return to regular training will depend on their individual recovery progress.

It goes without saying that Mainz fans will be sweating over the duo's availability ahead of Sunday's clash at home to SC Freiburg.
