West Ham United are showing interest in Hertha BSC centre-back Niklas Stark, according to Sport1.

Per the report, 'The Hammers' have held initial talks with the 26-year-old central defender.

It's further claimed that West Ham manager David Moyes is very impressed with Stark's abilities and that he wants to make a move for him as early as in January.

Since Stark is out of contract at the end of the season, Hertha might want to cash in on him in January if he doesn't want to sign a new contract.

The former Nürnberg defender has featured 11 times for the German capital club this season.
