David Raum has committed himself to a new long-term contract with Hoffenheim, the Bundesliga side have announced.

The left-back, who joined Hoffenheim from Greuther Fürth ahead of this season, has signed a new deal until 2026.

"After I made my decision to seek a new sporting challenge last summer, I was in the privileged situation of choosing between a variety of options. After the initial talks with [Hoffenheim bosses] Alexander Rosen and Sebastian Hoeneß, I then very quickly had the feeling that TSG was exactly the right club for me, and today I can say in retrospect: I did everything right," said Raum.

"I felt a great deal of trust here from the very first moment and was given an excellent reception by everyone. The courageous and offensively oriented style of play at Hoffenheim totally suits me and my game, so I didn't have to think twice about extending my contract here. We are on a very good path and I want to contribute with all my energy to ensure that we continue to play attractive and successful football."

Raum has scored two goals and provided six assists in 21 games this season.
