How the Bundesliga stacks up against Europe
The Bundesliga is always put up against Europe’s top 5 leagues. So how did they fare in the 2021/22 season?

The German top flight also saw the lowest amount of red cards amongst the big boys with their average of 0.08 reds per game and to no surprise, Ligue 1 saw a high of 0.27 red cards per contest. Let's just say there wasn't a whole lot of defense played, but Bundesliga fans were lucky to witness the highest number of goals from open play as 72% did not involve a stoppage of play.
The Bundesliga recorded the most goals off the bench while being tied at the top with La Liga for headed goals. With its unique fan culture, Germany always leads the way in attendance rankings. But in 2021/22, the league fell short due to the pandemic and that can only can mean one thing. The scenes will continue to be that much better.
Even with yet another predictable outcome (Bayern again), the Bundesliga still put out a sensational presentation on the pitch. Whether it was Union’s shocking push for the Champions League, Freiburg's impressive run in the DFB-Pokal, or the chaos of Stuttgart’s epic survival. These memories are unforgettable.
Before one knows it, it’ll be time to go again.
