VfB Stuttgart's search for a new head-coach to lead the team in the relegation fight will reportedly yield some more answers today. German tabloid "Sport Bild" - the first source to claim that the club has decidedly to part company with current trainer Bruno Labbadia - now says that the VfB supervisory board hasn't given clearance for a coaching change. Moreover, the managerial team hopes to have clarity on the situation well ahead of the team's DFB quarterfinal match against 1. FC Nürnberg on Wednesday.

Germany's Kicker Magazine reports that sporting director Fabian Wohlgemuth and many of the new administrative actors put into place by sporing CEO Alexander Wehrle this past autumn are still frantically at work trying to procure a replacement for Labbadia. The latest name to surface, as cited by Kicker, is Stuttgart native and former VfB Stuttgart professional Alexander Blessin.

Blessin played not only for the VfB, but also the local Stuttgarter Kickers and TSV Stuttgart. The 49-year-old once coached the Leipzig Juniors and also had brief stints at KV Oostende and Genoa CFC. Blessin has been unemployed since last spring after failing to prevent Genoa's relegation to Serie B. He once received "trainer of the year" honors in Belgium when working for "De Kustboys".
