VfB Stuttgart attacker Chris Führich is now officially the fourth player forced to withdraw from Bundestrainer Julian Nagelsmann's German national team. Defenders Robin Gosens and Malick Thiaw have already passed on their nominations for familial reasons. Earlier on Monday, it was also confirmed that Borussia Dortmund attacking midfielder Felix Nmecha - suffering from hip problems - would be replaced by Hoffenheim's Grischa Prömel.

No replacement for Führich will be nominated, in part because the 25-year-old might yet be able to partake in the two friendlies scheduled to take place during the coming international break. Führich remains in Stuttgart with signs of an infection. It remains possible that the newly nominated professional can recover in time for the upcoming fixtures against Turkey (Saturday) and Austria (next Tuesday).
