Report: Brighton want RB Leipzig defender

Two clubs from the Premier League are reportedly interested in RB Leipzig full-back Bernardo. Brighton & Hove Albion is one of them.
It seems likely that Bernardo will leave RB Leipzig this summer. The full-back, who was limited to just 15 starts in the Bundesliga last season, has already said goodbye to his apartment in Leipzig, and plenty of clubs are interested in him, Bild reports.

Bernardo, 23, has been linked with Wolfsburg, Mainz and Sevilla among others, but according to the report, two clubs from the English Premier League are also in the race for his signature - with one of them being Brighton & Hove Albion.

The English interest in Bernardo may increase his price tag, and the Brazilian will most likely be sold for an amount in the double-digit million range.

Bernardo joined RB Leipzig from Red Bull Salzburg, and since then he has made 49 appearances for the club. He is very versatile and can play at either full-back as well as in the defensive midfield.
