With four Bundesliga games played this season, Mario Götze is still to make an appearance for Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga.

The 26-year-old wasn't even in the squad for the 1-1 draw against Hoffenheim on Saturday, and speaking to Kicker, he admits that the current situation isn't easy for him.

"It's a challenge. I can't hide it," he told the German sports magazine.

Götze has made two appearances this season as he has featured in the DFB-Pokal against Greuther Fürth and in the Champions League against Club Brugge. In both matches, he was substituted after a bit more than an hour.

Since returning to Borussia Dortmund from Bayern München in 2016, Götze has played 50 games for the BVB, scored four goals and made nine assists.
