Poku's arrival could force Arthur out on loan, per Kicker

It seems unlikely that the Brazilian will get his chance to take over the right flank this season.

Even prior to Ernest Poku's transfer to Bayer Leverkusen, Arthur's prospects for playing time weren't particularly good.

Now, his chances are likely to dwindle further, with the incoming Dutch 21-year-old favoured to take over the right flank, according to Kicker.

Leverkusen must therefore ask itself internally whether it might be best for Arthur to go out on loan for a year.

However, due to limited personnel – caused by several injured players and pending transfers – that option seems currently out of the question.

It would be considered a big risk for the Rhinelanders to offload players before the DfB-Pokal match and Bundesliga start.

Therefore, a possible loan for Arthur could only become concrete in the last week of the transfer window, which ends on September 1st.
