After weeks of negotiations, Borussia Dortmund finally announced the signing of Jobe Bellingham on Tuesday.

The English midfielder has signed a contract with the Black and Yellows running until 2030 - and, interestingly, it does not include a release clause, according to Sport Bild.

It remains to be seen if Bellingham’s deal reflects a full, unconditional commitment to BVB.

In modern football, verbal and/or informal arrangements often exist alongside contracts, giving players exit options under specific circumstances.

For now, however, the 19-year-old is unlikely to focus focus not on his next career step, but rather on getting to work with his new club.
