Could Borussia Dortmund be tempted to reignite their interest in a player they were previously linked with?

Edson Álvarez appears to be on the move, with a loan deal already virtually agreed between West Ham United and Fenerbahçe.

However, the Mexican's final word is still pendind and it's conceivable that Álvarez is still considering a move to another interested party.

According to the Guardian, FC Porto and Borussia Dortmund are also considering competing with Fenerbahçe for a loan deal.

Meanwhile, Turkish transfer insider Yagiz Sabuncuoglu, believes Dortmund, Porto and Inter have already submitted official offers.

BVB were already closely pursuing the sweeper two years ago, but instead he transferred from Ajax to the Hammers for €38million.

Are BVB officials finally arranging a deal, albeit belatedly? Álvarez himself is said to have made no decision yet as he assesses his options.
