According to BILD, the English striker could be audibly heard giving out after the game - it's believed it was inadvertently directed at referee Harm Osmers.

Popular German tabloid Sport BILD is reporting that Bayern Munich players were livid with the refereeing in their 2-2 draw with HSV yesterday.

Immediately after the final whistle, members of Bayern's coaching staff went to the referee's dressing room at the Volksparkstadion.

There, they surrounded the match arbiter, Harm Osmers, and argued with him about several decisions they felt went against them.

Even the Bavarians' main marksman Harry Kane walked past shaking his head and was heard saying: “The worst I've ever met in football.”

Although the 32-year-old striker didn't mention any names, it was clear he was referring to referee Osmers and his performance.

In a post-match interview after the stalemate, Bayern goalkeeper Manuel Neuer took a slightly more measured way of criticizing the arbiter.

“If the referee is a topic of conversation after the game, it's never a good sign. I think it's always best if the referee isn't brought up.

“Because then you know he had the game under control. But if you're asked about him so often, it doesn't speak well for him,” said Neuer of Osmers.
