Bayern Munich coach Thomas Tuchel was proud of his side after their quarter-final win over Arsenal.

After a close first half, Bayern came out on top after the break, with Joshua Kimmich scoring the winner.

"It means a lot to me that we've gone through. It was fun," said Tuchel in a post-match interview with DAZN.

"The first half was like a chess game. Who makes the first mistake, who makes the first move? Nobody wanted to. The second half was much better. We showed courage and deserved to win in the end," he explained.

Tuchel hailed the entire team, but singled out Konrad Laimer and Noussair Mazraoui for special praise.

“I'm proud of the performance of the team. I'm particularly proud of Konny, who was glued to Ødegaard. Nous was also very good on the left. But we knew we could only do it as a team."
