RB Leipzig star Xavi Simons is expected to be in the starting line-up when Netherlands take on Germany in the UEFA Nations League in Amsterdam on Tuesday.

And speaking ahead of the game, the youngster says he's particularly excited for the match because he's playing in the German Bundesliga.

"Playing for Leipzig is an extra motivation for me," said Simons, who opted to extend his loan spell at RB Leipzig from Paris Saint-Germain for another season in the summer.

“I made a very conscious decision to stay there and develop. After that, we'll take the next step.”

Simons scored in Netherlands' 5-2 win over Bosnia & Hercegovina two days ago.
