As reported by Sky and Bild, following comments from Wolfsburg sporting director Dieter Hecking on Saturday evening, Dzenan Pejcinovic’s move to Stuttgart now appears to be a done deal.

The agreement brings an end to the long-running transfer saga, with Stuttgart’s interest in the striker having been no secret for several weeks. However, the two clubs had previously been unable to reach an agreement.

The transfer fee is reportedly a fixed €25 million, with Pejcinovic set to sign a contract until 2031. The Germany U21 international is expected to undergo his medical within the next 48 hours.

Pejcinovic arrives in Stuttgart after a promising campaign with Wolfsburg despite their relegation, scoring nine goals in the Bundesliga last season. He will now join a Stuttgart side that can offer him the added attraction of Champions League football.
