With neither Kauã Santos nor Michael Zetterer a reliable presence in goal for Eintracht Frankfurt last season, the club is on the lookout.

It remains completely open who new head coach Adi Hütter will name as the number one goalkeeper for the 2026-27 campaign.

Now, according to Fabrizio Romano, the Hessen State club, are interested in Swedish World Cup shot-stopper Jacob Widell Zetterström.

Zetterström, who currently represents Derby County at club level, is also being scouted by Leeds United and Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Nonetheless, there are even reports of Frankfurt making initial contact with the Rams to ascertain his potential transfer fee.

Widell Zetterström's contract with England enters its final year in just a few days, so interested clubs are hoping for a bargain.

It remains unclear whether Frankfurt sees the 27-year-old as a potential new first-choice goalkeeper or merely as a backup.
