Galatasaray have reportedly shifted one step closer to signing Ermedin Demirovic from VfB Stuttgart this summer.
According to Yagiz Sabuncuoglu, the reigning Turkish champions are very close to reaching an agreement with the center forward.
As reported yesterday afternoon, Galatasaray had submitted a €15million offer to Stuttgart, which was immediately rejected.
Demirović joined Stuttgart from FC Augsburg in 2024 for €23million, therefore it's quite possible that Stuttgart will want to recoup that fee paid.
Sabuncuoglu adds that talks between the clubs are progressing well, and Galatasaray are awaiting a response to their latest offer.
Stuttgart recently sold striker Jovan Milošević to SC Braga for €8million, meaning a Demirović departure could require a replacement.
Despite signing Dzenan Pejčinović from VfL Wolfsburg, Stuttgart depth will be crucial for Sebastian Hoeneß' squad.
