Hannover 96 have officially completed the signing of Waniss Taïbi from Rodez AF, the club announced today.

The 23-year-old midfielder subsequently signs a contract at the 2.Bundesliga side until the summer of 2029.

A few of around €1million will be paid to the French Ligue 2 outfit for whom Taïbi provided 9 goal contributions for in 33 games.

Hannover's sporting director Marcus Mann was enthusiastic about the 96ers' eleventh summer signing.

“Waniss is a player who has everything required in central midfield. He is very confident on the ball and extremely strong on the run.

“He is an attacking player who likes to get involved in the final third and is capable of bridging opposing lines with the ball at his feet, setting up the attacking line, or successfully looking for a goal himself,” he said.
