Hertha BSC are reportedly in the race for Club Brugge’s Gustaf Nilsson. According to Kicker, Hannover and clubs from the English Championship are also interested in signing the striker who was part of Sweden’s World Cup squad.

Nilsson joined Belgian football in 2022 with a move to Union SG from 3. Liga side SV Wehen Wiesbaden. He won the Belgian league in his second season with Club Brugge, but only featured in 11 games in all competitions.

According to reports, Nilsson wants to wait until mid-August to clarify his future. However, Hertha are looking for immediate reinforcement in the attacking department.

Kicker also reported that Club Brugge are prepared to accept a loan agreement with a purchase option of €2.5 million. Nilsson made his World Cup debut in the closing stages of Sweden's defeat to France.
