Hamburger SV have confirmed that Warmed Omari, has been forced to take a step back from the team due to injury.

The defender, who was recently allowed to train individually in anticipation of his second child, noticed recurring shoulder problems.

He was substituted in their friendly against Lille and subsequently underwent a thorough examination at the Athleticum in Volkspark.

An MRI scan revealed a shoulder injury that can be treated conservatively, therefore he will be unavailable to HSV for the time being.

It comes as no surprise that the Comoros international will therefore miss the start of the 2026-27 season as he focuses on his recovery.

Last season, the right-footed player made 21 appearances and provided one assist for the Red Shorts across all competitions.
