RB Leipzig's Timo Werner is close to reaching a full agreement with San Jose Earthquakes over a potential MLS move.

A few weeks ago, a secret meeting already took place in Leipzig between representatives of the Earthquakes and Werner.

An agreement between RB Leipzig and SJ Earthquakes is not expected to be an issue if the transfer takes place in January.

Final details are currently being clarified but the paperwork has not yet been finalised and a medical is still to be completed.

Sky Germany reports that it's a matter of time until the deal will go through, unless Werner decides otherwise at the last minute.

Werner’s contract expires at the end of the season so Leipzig could recoup some few for the 29-year-old attacker.
