Arriving on a free transfer from Hoffenheim over the summer, Tom Bischof has continued to settle in seamlessly at Bayern Munich.

The midfielder has featured 12 times for Der Rekordmeister across all competitions, and has shown fantastic versatility in recent weeks - operating in an unfamiliar left-back role through Vincent Kompany's rotation.

Bayern sporting director, Christoph Freund, recently gave his thoughts on the form of the young midfielder.

“When he joined us, we were absolutely convinced that he has the level for FC Bayern,” said Freund, via Sky Germany.

“He's doing really well, even at times playing at left-back. He's simply a very good footballer. That's why he fits this team so well, he plays with a lot of aggression.”

Bayern themselves have won 16 out of a possible 16 matches this season, and are flying at the top of the Bundesliga and the Champions League.

“He will make his way,” added Freund. “Also with the German national side, I'm convinced of that, because I'm convinced that he will establish himself at Bayern.”
